We are VelaMira, Inc., a New Mexico-based professional services business founded in 2003. Leila Jones is President & CEO. We are proud to be a woman-owned and black-owned business providing mission-critical project and program support services.

The name “VelaMira” comes from constellations meaning ‘wonderful sails’. We are grateful for all who have joined us on this journey and trusted us to support them and their teams.

VelaMira’s nationwide team of degreed and credentialed professionals specializes in integration support and technical communications support. We have worked with 200+ clients around the world from the design-build (architecture / engineering / construction (AEC)), consulting, education, finance, insurance, law, and medical industries as well as the nonprofit sector and the public sector (state and federal government).

Integration Support Team

Team or Program Leadership

Providing strategic direction to a team or program by managing goals, customer expectations, team members, and work initiatives. Leading meetings and communicating with all levels to identify improvements and ensure success.

Project Management

Combining knowledge of scope, time, cost, quality, communications, risk, and resource management to achieve success criteria for change initiatives throughout the project management life cycle.

Process Improvement

Increasing efficiency of integrated processes and improving quality of services. Setting, implementing, tracking, and reporting on performance metrics to support processes.

Requirements Analysis

Determining needs by examining processes, reviewing governance, and interviewing stakeholders. Developing requirements that fit within the established hierarchy and standards to create high-value products or services that reach desired goals.

Technical Communications Support Team

Training and Development

Employing the ADDIE model to analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate classroom and online courses and certification programs. Collaborating with subject matter experts (SMEs) and / or delivering training in their area of expertise.

Writing and Editing

Developing and improving plans, presentations, processes and procedures, business requirements documents, technical documentation, and marketing communications. Acting as a strategic note taker during key project and client meetings.
